Rachel Trainor and Lakota Vella formed the all-female duo, Bloom, in 2017. The pair of multi-instrumentalists met while performing in the cast of the iconic Dracula’s Cabaret Melbourne, and decided to join forces, bringing together their combined years of musical experience. With electric and acoustic guitars and rich vocal harmonies, they created a versatile and engaging musical experience.
In 2023, the duo welcomed Nadia Ricciotti, a talented and in-demand bassist and backing vocalist with extensive experience in weddings, corporate events, and Melbourne venues. With the addition of bass guitar, Rachel moved over to the drums, creating a dynamic and exciting all-female trio.
Known for their modern takes on soulful classics and contemporary pop, Bloom excels at getting the dancefloor going, whether they're delivering an intimate set or a high-energy show. Their background as session musicians, including work with artists like Vanessa Amarosi, Hayley Mary, The Merindas, and Amanda Palmer, ensures a high-quality performance for any occasion.
